The number of days you have to file/resubmit a claim before it will be denied as not timely filed. This is used by the Timely Filing report to show claim which are nearing their Timely Filing deadlines.
Expected Days
The number of days you expect a claim to be processed before payment is received. This is used by the Aged Reports to print only claim which have taken more than you expect to process.
Example: Medicare will pay clean claims within 14 days. Medicaid will pay within 30 days and commercial payors will normally pay within 45 days.
Patient Eligibility Days
The number of days before the system will flag the patient that you need to check eligibility.
