Webinar: Daily Billing Secrets, shhhh…

February 23, 2013 by teamadmin41 Leave a Comment

Cart0876What is Daily Billing? It is when you are billing a fixed price for each day that a customer has a particular item and you are going to send one invoice for the entire month. It can be used for Hospice and/or Nursing Home Billing. It can also be used to bill Medicare or private insurances for CPMs.

If you are billing Hospice and/or Nursing Homes then you will usually have a contract signed by you and the agency. During the period that a customer is on Hospice or in a Nursing Home, you are contracted to give the customer any items that they need that are part of the contract and bill at the contracted daily rate. There may be other items that you sell or rent to the customer, that are not on the contract, and you would charge your usual and customary price.

If you bill for CPMs with Medicare, then Medicare has a daily allowable rate. What we will talk about in the webinar is how the software will calculate a price for a given number of days without the use of a calculator and how the software will adjust the Thru Date, Units and Price .

In this webinar, we will show you:
– How to setup an item with a special package unit and special setting in the coverage criteria.
– How to add a Medical Order and follow the process into Recurring Orders.
– How TeamDME XL software will adjust the Thru dates in the Recurring Order if the customer is still renting the item after the first of the month.
– What happens when the item is returned before the end of the month, which includes adjusting the thru date, posting a single recurring order and starting the pickup process.

This presentation by Mike Walylko will last approximately 35 minutes with Q&A following (Total time 48 mins).
