Webinar: Payments by ERA

Cart0876Yes, I already know I’m going to get in trouble for this one in our politically-correct society. But, hey, I’m lazy. There I admit it. I don’t work any harder than I must in order to get the job done. You can call it lazy, or you can call it efficient, or even smart. Our next webinar is for the lazy… er, smart person who wants to get the most out of his or her time.

What are we talking about, you ask. Entering payments via Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA). It amazes me how many people know about this fantastic feature, but don’t take advantage of it. Some of the flimsy excuses reasons they give are;

“I don’t want to lose control of the payment process.”
“I want to decide when to write-off or adjust certain items.”

And those are certainly ridiculous understandable. You may not fully understand how it works, and what it can do for you. Don’t worry, we’ll explain exactly how the process works, what you can do and how to remain in control of every step of the process. So if you are receiving and posting payments (ERAs) electronically, use this as a refresher course. If you are not posting ERAs, please attend this session to see the possibilities. Learn how easy it is to apply payments from an ERA. See how denial codes are entered for billing secondary payors electronically. We will discuss the Exception Report and see where allowables are being reduced and procedure codes are being down-coded.

This presentation by Darin Bawden will last approximately 26 minutes with Q&A following (Total time 55 mins).
