
Sometimes it would be helpful to select more than one record in a grid. You can then use any key which operates on selected records, such as the delete key.

Ctrl+A, Select all records |
Press Ctrl + A to select all records.
If you find you have selected an undesired record, you can deselect it by clicking on it again while continuing to hold the Ctrl key. |

Ctrl key, Select specific records |
Press and hold the Ctrl key while clicking on desired records in the grid allows you to select multiple records.
If you find you have selected an undesired record, you can deselect it by clicking on it again while continuing to hold the Ctrl key. Example: In the above form, we have selected all Physicians outside of the State of TN. You can see this by reviewing the dataset indicator. |

Shift key, Select contiguous records |
Press and hold the Shift key while clicking on the first record, and then the last record in the sequence of records you want to select.
If you find you have selected an undesired record, you can deselect it by clicking on it while holding the Ctrl key. Tip: You can also use a combination of the two keys. You can select from the second record to the fifth using the Shift key and add to the selected list the seventh and ninth records using the Ctrl key. |

Dataset Indicator |
This component normally shows the state or mode of the current record (Browse, Insert and Edit), but it can also show the selection status as well.
