How to Setup a Critieria for Billing, Oxygen Setup.

The SETUP02 Item is used to setup a new patient with Oxygen for the first time. These items used are setup on the Recipe tab of the SETUIP02 Item, consisting of the Oxygen Concentrator, Tubing, Canula, Warning Sign, Oxygen wrench, Portable and OCD (Oxygen Conserving Device). Then on this tab, these Items would be modified.

Item Number Description UM TOS Allowed Bilings HCPCS Allowable Special Price
1 SETUP02 Oxygen Concentrator Setup EA 12 0 2-0.00 1-0.00
2 Oxygen Concentrator 18 36 E1390RR 1-0.00 0-0.00
3 SLT1600 Canula, Nasal, Salter Adult EA 12 0
4 W156 Oxygen Warning Sign EA 12 0
5 W199 Oxygen Wrench EA 12 0
6 INVMS4121 Tubing, Disposable Oxygen 25′ EA 12 0
7 HP4111 Ox Shoulder Pack w/D Cylinder EA 18 36 E0431RR
8 IRC2002 Piston Regulator with Contents Gauge EA 18 36

1. First we modify the Kit Item Number to change it from a Rental to a Purchase. This means the Item is not transferred to the Recurring Order for the Patient.

2. Then we add a second Item with a blank (virtual) Item Number and a Procedure code of E1390RR. This will be replaced with the Item Number of the Oxygen Concentrator we provide, whether from Invacare, Sunrise or Airsep.

3-6. We convert these items from 18 to 12 to indicate a purchase.

7-8. We mark these items with an Allowed Billing of 36 to put them on the Recurring Order.
