
This allows you to edit the reports we provide as standards within the program, or to create your own reports. The Data tab allows you to define the data source; consisting of tables, fields, sort orders and filters. The Calc tab allows you to create calculated fields to display on reports such as the date, time or page numbers. The Design tab allows you to define the bands which make up the report; such as the title, group header, body, group footer and summary bands. And finally the Preview tab allows you to see a representation of what your report will look like as you develop it.
There is a great deal more to know about the Report Designer and it comes with it’s own 450+ page manual. We also schedule a two-day training seminar periodically to get you started or expand your report writing ability.
