Medical Order

This is where you will enter new Orders. Information is pulled from the patient file. Any of the information that is pulled in can be changed for this particular Order WITHOUT permanently changing any information in the patient file. Remember, it is very easy to edit and/or delete any information at this stage. Once an Order is posted, it then becomes a claim. It is at that point when you will not be able to make many changes and deleting the claim will mean writing the claim off. The best way to prevent unnecessary write offs is to review the Ready to Post reports. There will always be write offs, but you should try to prevent this as much as possible.

The following diagram illustrates posting a regular (non-recurring) Medical Order or a regular (non-recurring) rental Order to a claim.

The following diagram illustrates posting a recurring Medical Order or a recurring rental Order to a claim, while a copy of the Order is sent to the recurring section.

The following diagram illustrates posting a recurring order or a recurring rental Order to the Order section. If the item is a purchase, you will need to print a delivery ticket and mark it delivered. If the item is a rental, it is already marked delivered. When you post the Orders, they become claims without returning to the recurring section.
